Abstract

This paper has the intention to discuss the topic of techno-scientific progress and its impact on other forms of knowledge and local communities. In this sense, the aim is to analyze the conflict at the production of scientific knowledge agricultural and its multiple possibilities of interaction with communities and local knowledge, showing how is the model of scientific knowledge that reaches these communities, which way and how is this interaction. Methodologically, discuss, through a theoretical basis, the arguments of authors who approach this issue, deepening the question with a case study in the region of Araras, focused on the analysis of technical assistance and rural extension at the community of rural settlement Araras III. We believe that, as expected results will highlight reductionism and standardization of local knowledge, at the same time bringing new contributions to the discussion, since our focus is through the perspective of science and technology policy and multidisciplinarity.
