This study aims to evaluate the kinetic and temporo-spatial parameters in dogs with hip fractures treated conservatively, walking in a pressure platform at constant speed. The hypothesis is that dogs may show changes in kinetic and temporo-spatial parameters arising from the injury, which may interfere with the symmetry index. It will be established two experimental groups: Group 1 - healthy dogs (n = 15), Group 2 - dogs with hip fractures treated conservatively (n = e 15). Group 1 and Group 2 will contain animals of similar sizes . The dogs in Group 2 will be divided into two subgroups according to the location of the fracture: Subgroup 2a - dogs with fractures affecting load bearing structures; Subgroup 2b - dogs with fractures that do not compromise weight-bearing structures. Peak Power Vertical, vertical impulse, cycle duration of locomotion, duration of the stance phase, swing phase duration, step length and percentage of weight distribution will be measured. The Symmetry Index (SI) between members will be calculated in Groups 1 and 2.
