Abstract The Settlement Olga Benário was formed in 2005. During this period, 84 families were settled, members of the Movement of Landless Rural Workers (MST). At the time of the division of the lands, proposals emerged collective organization of the settlement. Significant portion of families rejected this proposal and opted for the familiar model.
