Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the bond strength between composite resin and enamel different substrates: (1) sound enamel, (2) enamel (demineralized) with initial artificial caries lesion, (3) glaze (demineralized) remineralized with saliva (4) enamel (demineralized) remineralized with fluorine and (5) enamel (demineralized) infiltrated with Icon (DMG). Teeth 240 are used (n = 12) animals extracted, cleaned and stored in thymol solution until use. The buccal enamel of the crowns is not removed, only standardized with sandpaper 600 in circular polisher. After standardization, the specimens will be divided into two groups A and B. Group A (n = 48) and control group will receive no treatment, only adhesives and restorative procedures for subsequent testing microtação. Group B (n = 192), will be submitted to the treatment of demineralization, where the specimens remained immersed in demineralizing solution for 32 hours to produce subsurface artificial caries lesions. This group will be divided into 4 subgroups according to the different treatments after demineralization. In group B1, the samples are mineralized by the methodology described below and will not be subjected to any treatment remineralizing. In Group B2, the specimens shall be immersed for 8 weeks in artificial saliva prepared by the method of Gohring10 the saliva solution is changed every day. In group B3, the specimens are immersed in fluoride 0.05% for 1 min daily for 8 weeks. After immersion in the fluoride CP will be washed with deionized water and immersed in artificial saliva. In group B4, the specimens are infiltrated with resin material (Icon - DMG). In enamel surfaces with different treatments will be applied Clearfil S3 Bond Plus (Kuraray Medical Inc.) and Universal Single Bond (3M ESPE) according to the manufacturer's statement and inserted the composite resin Filtek Z 350 XT (3M- Espe, USA) slanting in increments of 2 mm, as recommended by the manufacturer. Because an assessment that simulates the conditions present in the oral specimens are subjected to thermal cycling through the machine ER 26000 (Erios, Brazil). Groups will be divided into 2 groups: cycled and not cycled. The group cycled be held thermal cycling on 3 tanks for cold bath (2 º C and 5 º C), hot (50 º C and 55 º C) and intermediate (37 ° C ± 2 ° C), with the residence time of the specimens in each bath of 30 seconds, and the group will not cycled only stored for 24 hours. The specimens are cut with the aid of Labcut 1010 (Extec, USA) in prisms of square section with dimensions of approximately 1mm ² of base per 10 mm length, which will be submitted to microtensile test on a universal testing machine DL-1000 ( EMIC, Brazil). Data will be submitted to ANOVA and Tukey test (± = 1%). (AU)
