Abstract

The plants intercropped maize and crotalaria has been used in the Center-South region of Brazil, aiming at the use of crotalaria as a nematicide. However, several herbicides used to control weeds in corn can affected the development of green manure, being necessary to establish the selectivity of these herbicides when used in intercropping corn x crotalaria. The study will aim to determine the tolerance of plants of Crotalaria juncea, Crotalaria spectabilis and Crotalaria ochroleuca to herbicide registered for corn. For this purpose herbicides are used in post-emergence and pre emergence treatments of 0.5 D, 0.75 D, 1.25 D and 1D, D being the recommended rate. In step post-emergence involve bentazon, ametryn, amicarbazone, 2,4-D and mesotrione herbicides. In the stage of pre-emergence, herbicides are; alachor, atrazine, atrazine + cimazine, s-metolachlor, tufluralin, isoxaflutole and pendementhalin. The phytotoxicity tests are 7, 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after application (DAT) of the herbicides. At the end of the 35 DAT will be measured heights of plants and shoot dry biomass, obtained by weighing the material collected
