Abstract

This research plan sight to improve scientific knowledge of the student, more precisely in the area of automatic control, through research and practical application of classical control techniques, with further study of modern technical control, using the strategy of Variable Structure Control and Sliding Mode (CEV / MD). This project will be linked to the Thematic 2011/17610-0 entitled "Monitoriamento e Controle de Sistemas Dinâmicos Sujeitos à Falhas" and, this way, aims to study the structures of robust control in the presence of faults. In the project is proposed one bibliographic levy and didactic study of plant control 2DOF BALL BALANCER, of Canadian manufacturing company Quanser Consulting®. This equipment was purchased with funds of Thematic (2011/17610-0) and is available in the Research Laboratory in Control (LPC) Department of Electrical Engineering, Engineering University of Ilha Solteira (DEE FEIS UNESP).In the project it is suggested studies and applications of control techniques as provided by the manufacturer's of the plant (PID), of the pole placement controller and, finally, a technique of robust controller using Control with Structure and Sliding Mode Variable. During the study of controls, the student will make simulations in the software Matlab with Simulink, compare the answer of control strategy in the presence of faults. Once studied the controllers, proposes to implement, in bench, the bid strategies and studied during the simulations stage, comparing the results. It is understood, therefore, that the fulfillment of these steps will contribute significantly in academic formation and especially in scientific initiative student.
