Abstract

The Non-Smooth Dynamical Systems Theory (NSDS) is received a lot of attention in recent years, as various mechanical phenomena are best understood when modeled using discontinuous or piecewise differential equations.In this project, we consider NSDS on the plane. We study the existence of limit-cycles for these systems, using direct methods (in the case of piecewise linear systems) and qualitative methods as well (in the case of non linear systems).
