Abstract

The general aim of this Project is to give a general but detailed introduction to fluid dynamics. We plan to study in some details the case of the fluid motion at low Reynolds number. The final goal of the Project is the analysis of a famous result due to Edward Mills Purcell, the so called ''scallop theorem''.
