Abstract Analysisof contaminators in hair has greatly attracted attention as a circumstancial proof in forensic chemistry or control of dopant agents in athlete tests. Nevertheless, several controversies have been raised about hair utilization as a matrix that for its turn depends on the characteristics of hair, lipophilicity, permeability and presence of exogenous substances, such as dyes. The great limitation of analysis of wastes from dyes in hair is the low limit of detection of techniques used in the identification and quantification of these dyestuffsand by-products from extractions. The present research proposition has as an objective the synthesis and development of electrochemical sensors based in magnetic nanoparticules modified with tosyl and carboxylic groups, by using voltametric techniques in order to develop alternative, versatile, fast and economic electroanalytical methods, for quantifying hair dyes: Basic Red 51, Basic Blue 99 and Basic Brown 16 in extracts from a hair strand. The methods proposed will be compared with analytical methodologies described in the literature by using the LC-MS-MS technique. | |
