Abstract This paper intends to analyze the newspapers O Baurú (published between 1906 and 1924), in the city of Bauru, and O Operário (published between 1909 and 1913), from Sorocaba, with emphasis in the period between 1909 - 1913, to identify how both media presses represented the current political views from the workers at that time (anarchism, socialism and anti-clericalism), also how it did interact with other newspapers and produced a raw journalism with particular and almost nonprofessional characteristics but which had specific social layers interests.
