Abstract

The use of irrigation promotes improvements in the productive potential exploration of pasture in Brazil, however, is not handled properly, either by lack of farmer's preparation or lack of better irrigation management indices. The nitrogen is one of the nutrients absorbed in larger quantities for fodder and important, in quantity terms, to maximize dry matter production of forage grasses. This work has as objective study the productive response of Cynodon spp. cv. Tifton-85 subjected to the irrigation levels and different moments of urea application. The research will be conducted in greenhouses located in Biosystems Engineering Department ESALQ / USP, in Piracicaba, SP, Brazil. It will be conducted in a completely randomized design in a factorial 2x6, with two irrigation levels (full irrigation using 100% ETo and deficit irrigation using 70% ETo) and six moments of urea application (in the day, 3, 6, 9, 12 days after cutting and a control without urea application) with four replications. The treatments will be applied after the leveling cut procedure. The destructive sampling for evaluation will be made every 21 days, after the leveling cut procedure. It will be determinated the production of the dry matter of the leaf blade (MSLF), of stems + sheaths (MSCB) and the aerial parts (MSPA). The nondestructive sampling for evaluation will be made every seven days to monitor the development of the plant. The results will be submitted to analysis of variance to check for significant differences between treatments. If so, the averages will be compared by Tukey test (p<0.01 and p<0.05).
