Abstract

The aim of this project is to deepen the meta-analytic study previously proposed FAPESP (Process No. 2013/01309-5), and discuss the results obtained in experiment, specially about the Automatic and Intelligent precision feeder system. The technique of meta-analysis is a statistical method that compiles data using an overview which makes it possible to observe differences that could not be noticed in a smaller population. Methionine is the limiting amino acid in pig farms, but still has a number of lacuna in the optimal levels and its relationship to lysine, especially in individuals. The project originally proposed to FAPESP we sought to integrate the multivariate analysis of factors to explore the variation in the data, however did not meet the objectives initially proposed. Thus through this project we propose to use the code inter-studies to establish a linear-plateau for each study and a general linear-plateau come from these at each stage: starter, grower and finishing pigs by nlmixed procedure of SAS statistical program. If successful, the application of the technique will fill gaps in the study of this amino acid, and a precedent for the generation and development of projects in progress as future. More than the application of a technique is the development in terms of research on meta-analysis and modeling. Furthermore, the research internship abroad, will allow discuss the data obtained from the field using the Automatic and Intelligent Precision Feeder system in a place where the equipment is in operation enabling learning about the same for this knowledge to be applied to equipment that has just reach FCAV-UNESP (process FAPESP 2012/03781-0).
