Abstract

Due to a long history of degradation, the original vegetation of Brazilian Atlantic forest has been reduced mostly to small and isolated fragments that are inefficient to meet the structural and ecological functions inherent in these environments. In these cases, to accelerate the restoration of natural processes, the use of seedlings of native species for revegetation of wetlands becomes one of the most viable options. The production of quality seedlings in sufficient quantities and at lower cost, depends, among other factors, water, therefore, this study aims to evaluate the development and quality of seedlings of six native tree species, with different architectures, when subjected to four water levels, determine the most appropriate water management for each species and to relate the water management provided in the nursery with the development of seedlings after planting. The design that will be used in the nursery phase and development after planting will be completely randomized. For statistical analysis, will be use the technique of analysis of variance, followed by Tukey test (p < 0,05) for mean comparison between treatments. Furthermore, in the analysis of development of seedlings after planting, the data will also be subjected to analysis of variance and compared by regression analysis over time.
