Abstract

The use of CAD / CAM technologies have been increasingly employed in dentistry, especially for the production of all-ceramic restorations, such as zirconia frameworks. The use of CAD / CAM aims to produce more accurate restorations in less time , at lower costs . However, despite recent improvements in these systems, the fit of the framework made by this process is still a topic of discussion. The objective of this research is to evaluate the internal spaces of the infrastructure made by a CAD / CAM system in relation to the virtual structure that was designed in the computer program. A replica of a premolar in epoxy resin will be scanned using the Cerec® System. From the drawing of a framework designed by the program, ten framework will be milled. The frameworks will be placed on the epoxy resin die and scanned in a micro CT to evaluate the marginal gap and the space for cement. After verification of these spaces, the values will be compared to those previously determined by the program Cerec InLab ® 4.0. The data will receive proper statistical analysis, using the IBM ® SPSS ® Statistics 21.
