Abstract

Avulsion is one of the most complex dental trauma and requires immediate treatment in an attempt to reduce potential damage to support structures, especially in young patients who can not receive definitive treatment. When reimplantation does not occur at the time of the accident and the waiting time in the extra-alveolar is greater than 60 minutes, or 20 minutes dry, the professional can and should try different treatments of root surface so that there is the restoration of architecture and function of the periodontal ligament, avoiding the replacement resorption and ankylosis. The root surface treatment of avulsed teeth can be done with various substances including, EDTA (ethylene diamine tetra -acetic acid) at 17 % , Fluoride topical, antibiotics as well, always aiming to repair the tissues involved. However, today there is still no protocol for replantation of avulsed teeth later that is based on scientific evidence. Thus, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of Tetracycline Topical 20mg (Achromycin ®); 10mg Hydrocortisone + Neomycin Sulfate 5mg + polymyxin B 10,000 IU (Otosporin ®) ; And Dexamethasone + Neomycin + Polymyxin B (Maxitrol ®) on the root surface of the dentin disks coated cement through test cell viability and survival . Will be cut 60 dentin discs coated cement with 4.5 mm in diameter, the buccal root surface of bovine teeth. The disks will be regulated, cleaned and autoclaved. The specimens are treated with 17% EDTA for 5 minutes and then treated with antibiotics study for 30 minutes. The discs are placed in 96-well plates where they will be seeded cells primary cultures of human periodontal ligament fibroblasts, which will be in contact with the discs for 48 hours. Survival and cell viability on the surface of the discs will be assessed by XTT. The cell survival rate will be statistically analyzed by ANOVA and Tukey test (p d 0,05).
