Abstract

Geotechnology Applied to the Study of Natural Landscape Fragmentation in Pericumã Water Sheed - Maranhense Amazon. The research that this internship project is linked , has as main objective to analyze the natural and human agents responsible for the landscape fragmentation, as well as, the processes of use and occupation of the land , using knowledge of Geosystem, the formation of Territory and Landscape, in combination (support) of techniques and tools in geotechnology. In this context , to achieve the overall and the specific goals of the larger project, the main objective of the internship abroad is: review the methodologies and procedures that are applied in research on the landscape dynamics and the use of techniques and tools of Geotechnology used in Portugal and Europe, and specifically to obtain knowledge of the techniques of digital cartography and GIS, applied to georeferenced environmental studies on the dynamics of the landscape in Portugal; identify which are the cartographic scales applied by CEGOT on the studies of watershed Geosystem, among others described in item 2.2 . In this context, is necessary the theoretical, conceptual and practical support adopted by research groups at the national and international level , as well as knowledge of geography related areas, which will be acquired at the Center for Studies in Geography and Planning (CEGOT) housed in the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra . To materialize the internship in CEGOT, expected: the production of handwritten documents with information on the use of geotechnology and methodologies used in the proposed study. (AU)
