The purpose of the internship in the GeoQuEST Research Centre - University of Wollongong, arose from a need of the regular project (Process No. 2013/04284-3) in deepening the morphometric and morphologic analyses, as well as comprehending the evolutionary behavior of Aguapeí River channel. In this way, it proposes as specific aims of BEPE project: To increase the knowledge of the theoretical-methodological approach on the genesis and processes related to meandering rivers, morphologies of channel and floodplains and its cartographic representation; Assess the channel evolution through geometric aspects and meanders migration processes; Determine the morphological units and predominant features in the alluvial plain (alluvial floodplain and terraces). The study will accesses 1:25.000 aerial photos of 1962, as well as recent remote sensing products - 2014. Data will be treated in softwares of statistic, graphic design and mapping like ArcGIS 10®. Another intention of the internship is to learn about new softwares. The final products of this study - maps and graphs - will be qualitatively accreted to the analysis in development in Brazil.
