Abstract

The project is divided in two parts. The first one defines the courses that will be taken: Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis, Measure and Integration and Ordinary Differential Equations. The second part consists of the project itself. The subject is Control Theory in Infinite-Dimensional Systems. The book that will be used is An Introduction to Infinite-Dimensional Linear Systems Theory by Ruth F. Curtain and Hanz Zwart. This book extends well-known results in finite dimension to infinite-dimension. Important concepts that will be well-studied are: stability, detectability, controllability and observability. (AU)
