Abstract

In the field of study of hydrographic watersheds and hydric resources management, a subfield of great importance is related to the rain-runoff transformation modeling, a particular property of each watershed directly related to its intrinsical characteristics of physical geography. Considering the fact that it is possible to identify a considerable number of watersheds with mixed soil use (urban/rural) in Brasil, it is proposed the coupling of two hydrological models, SWMM and CUENCAS, aiming a more realistic modeling of the hydrological behavior in these scenarios. This works has as objective the conceptual presentation of this coupling, its application and results evaluation compared to conventional situations of hydrological modeling (when only a model is applied).As a study scenario, its used the Córrego do Gregório wathershed, located at São Carlos-SP municipality.
