Abstract

It was shown that both base and tips of rootlets and leaflet - places of fast cell growth and multiplication - are the main ultra-weak photon emission (UPE) sources in seedlings. But those experiments were performed in short period of time, ie. few hours. The intended goal here is to record UPE images, continuously, during 2 to 3 days, covering the first development of a single seedling/sample of few individuals. With a sequence of 2D records, it will be possible to check some still not well investigated points: 1 - are all growing parts of a seedling emitting simultaneously? If not, what are the cycles/bursts of each part? 2 - do the UPE spots follow circadian rhythms? Could that be related to gravimetric/geomagnetic daily disturbances? 3 - in a sample of few seedlings, how (de)phased are the individual UPE spots? Can each UPE spot be related to each other in time? (AU)
