Abstract

The tropical soils have low phosphorus (P) available to plants and high P-adsorption capacity for oxides of Fe and Al. Besides, the mineral reserves of P are finite. Therefore, it is necessary to develop fertilizer with high agronomic efficiency. In this context, the present study aims to evaluate the agronomic efficiency of granulated organomineral fertilizer (OMF) based on poultry litter (PL) and soluble sources of P. Two experiments will be carried out: - one in the greenhouse, using the isotopic method (32P) and biochemical assay (acid phosphatase), and the second one will be held in field conditions, with corn and soybeans. In the first experiment, we will use the randomized design in a factorial 2x4+1 (two P sources, four P rates and the check). The following P-sources are: 1-Triple superphosphate (TSP) 2-OMF based on PL and TSP, tested at P rates of 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg of P2O5 ¬per pot. It will be assessed plant top dry matter yield (also roots and grains), nutrients accumulation, the specific activity of 32P and phosphatase activity in the soil (rhizosphere) and in the plant tissue, as well. Based on the all results it will be calculated agronomic efficiency. For the field experiment, it will be used a randomized block design in a factorial scheme 2x4+1 (two P sources, four rates and check). The following sources are: 1-OMF (based on PL and simple superphosphate or MAP), and 2-Fertilizer 08-28-20 (corn) or 00-30-20 (soybean). The P-rates will be 100, 200, 400 and 800 kg/ha in maize, whereas for soybeans it will be tested P doses of 80, 160, 320 and 640 kg/ha. Right after, it will evaluated the plant height, stem diameter, SPAD index, plant top dry weight, P plant (tissue) concentration and soil-P analysis and plant yields. Based on the results of the two experimental groups, by using methods isotopic, chemical, biochemical and physiological it will be supposed to obtain relevant information on the agronomic efficiency of OMFs, contributing to a better utilization of the PL and reducing extern dependence of fertilizers.
