Abstract

The purpose of this project is to make a research focused on existing music literature about improvisation and its theoretical/structural fundaments. As a result, we expect to produce an extensive group of practical exercises aiming musical perception and creation, based on a set of principles that better matches a constructivist view of this theme. We hope this exercises may be used as didactic/pedagogical pathway for learning and teaching improvisation, this powerful - though neglected - tool in Music Education.
