Abstract

The researches point to the severity of behavior changes associated with bullying situations. There are disagreements about the most adequate strategies and instruments to identify bullying, especially in Brazil, where there is a lack of psychometric instruments. Because of that, it is of a great importance to widen the researches on the subject in order to get a better knowledge about the means to evaluate the occurrence of bullying. This study aims to: (1) Compare self-report and the peers report about the situations so called bullying; (2) Discuss about the convergences and divergences when bullying is identified by the informer. The data collect will be done in elementary state school in São Paulo. The bullying victims will be identified by to collective applied instrument: Escala de Violência Escolar (School Violence Scale) - Student Version and translation of Peer Assessment. One standard deviation above the average will be detected as bullying. It is expected the results of this research will contribute to identify bullying in Brazil and also to promote public policies in order to prevent behaviors problems associated to bullying.
