Abstract

This research project comes from the need for studies on the health context and the use of public health services for people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in Brazil. This syndrome has generated intense debate in the clinical field about the difficulty of diagnostic and therapeutic. The project aims to contribute, from the point of view of health geography, to the discussion of the field of social rights and appropriation of cities by social actors. For this, two analytical categories are fundamental to understanding the subject: accessibility and urban mobility, the point of view of people with ALS who reside in Brazilian cities.
