Abstract

This research aims to establish parallels between words (linguistic element) and photography (imagetic element) as mediators of world representations and their roles in constructing personal and collective imaginaries. This project shall also explore memory issues related to both elements capacity of change and reference. At last, this research also aims to analyse Sophie Calle’s work - she is a French artist who combines text and image in order to show subjectivity, effectiveness and originality in memories communication.
