Abstract

The PhD research aims to analyse how the interests of Brazilian entrepreneurs are represented in the Legislative branch, during the first Fernando Henrique Cardoso government (1999-2002) and first and second Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva governments (2003-2010). In this stage of my PhD research, it will be examined economic bills and their main characteristics: authors, authors profile, political parties, parties' cohesion, and parties' leaders. It will reject or not reject the hypothesis that there is a logical of Brazilian Legislative in maintaining of entrepreneurs' interests. So, it will be mentioned ruptures between selected governments. Also, it will demonstrate that institutions are fundamental to define actors' interests, mainly, in economic activities. Extensive bibliography, databases, bills, provisional measure, association's documents, and newspaper will be used as methodological sources. (AU)
