Abstract

This project is part of a larger research project which is conducted by the advisor under a productivity grant from CNPq (2018-2021). The main objective of his project is to analyze the interaction between members of six congressional committees and the companies that supported their political campaigns in 2010 and 2014, as well as with the business associations that represent the interests of the economic sectors of those companies. The general idea is to compare the legislative production of these deputies between 2011 and 2018 with the lobbying activities from the companies and their associations, in order to evaluate how the entrepreneurial political activities - via electoral financing and lobbying - is able to affect the behavior of those decision-makers. The main activity to be developed by the student is to help his advisor to conduct steps 1-5 from the methodological section of this project. (AU)
