Abstract

In recent year, the identification of mechanical systems is going through great challenges due to the difficult in reproduce the engineering structures with mathematical modelling, which mostly are essentially nonlinear. A reasonable way to identify the nonlinear systems are the Volterra series expandend in Kautz filters, which are study object of the project Jovem Pesquisador FAPESP 12/09135-3. However, these series how are used can not describe the behaviour of the free response of nonlinear system, because it lacks a memory parameter in order to take the hypothesis of ergotic system. Thus, this project aims develop Volterra series expanded in adaptative Kautz filters, implemented with method of multiple scales which consider the expansion representing the response of the system to be a function of multiple independent variables which changes with respect the time, becoming fully possible describe the free response of nonlinear mechanical systems.
