Abstract

Interventions for drug users are usually performed when users are already with considerable commitment, both physical and psychosocial. The Primary Health Care (PHC) can be a possibility of access to drug users at risk use or dependence, being required for both the use of means of interventions that do not require specialized professionals, such as Brief Intervention (BI) or Training in Problem Solving (TSP). This time, this longitudinal study of mixed type, the lens performs with alcohol users and IB family, TSP. Relatives and alcohol users will be contacted through the Community Health Agents (CHA) a service of Health Strategy (FHS) of the western region of Health, Ribeirão Preto - SP. On the first visit to the families, will be explained the research objectives and will be the invitation to participate. Will be made after two visits to create a bond with family and user and application of instruments and ASSIST AUDIT. After the speeches there ratings in both families as users in one month and six months after completion of the intervention. It is hoped that this study point to the possibilities and limits of the use of these techniques for intervention in patients and families in local actuation of ESF and evaluate changes after interventions.
