Abstract The upper Miocene Solimões Formation has been so long studied in the sedimentary basin of Acre. Outcrops of the major rivers of Acre has evidenced a rich and diverse fossil fauna, composed of molluscs (bivalves and gastropods), small and large mammals, reptiles and birds, as well as angiosperms logs. Scarce, however, are the works that seek to understand the taphonomic aspects of these fossil assemblages. This work proposes, through an excavation collection guided by a taphonomic protocol, associated with the generation of taphonomic and geochemical signatures, better understand the diagenetic and biostrationomic aspects of macrovertebrates fossil assemblages, bringing new insights for paleoecological and paleoenvironmental interpretations.
