Abstract

Human interference in geographic space is becoming more and more frequent and intense. As a consequence, the natural environments are changed to serve the human and economic needs; make vulnerable the proper functioning of ecosystems. One example of human activity potentially impactful to environment is the agriculture; due to indiscriminate use of pesticides, deforestation, overexploitation of soil and water resources. That way, the territory planning is of fundamental importance to protect and conserve the natural environments. The present work has the goal to diagnose the areas with the greatest potential to environmental degradation in relation with farming activities and propose protection and conservation guidelines to the Environmental Protection Area (APA) Ibitinga, such a way to complement the Municipal Master Plan of Ibitinga, since it presents deficiencies about the restrictions of agriculture activities in the APA. That way, the methodology of this project will be divided into three steps of execution: Physical Characterization and Environmental Analysis of APA; Fuzzy uniform criteria and the creation of Map of Potential to Environmental Degradation; and Environmental Planning and Territorial of APA. All steps will be held in a GIS environment. The results will be visually examined; and also will be held the terrestrial validation of the final map. The project will last one year (12 months) and, it has the purpose to contribute to decision making to the territorial planning of farming activities on APA Ibitinga.
