Abstract

The aims of this study are to realize the translation and cultural adaptation of the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) for students between 6 to 7 years old and 11 months, and to characterize and to compare the performance of students in Brazilian cultural adaptation. This study will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1: Translation and cultural adaptation of the Dynamic Indicators of Basic procedure Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) and Phase 2: Implementation of DIBELS. 200 students, of both genders, aged between 6 years to 7 years old and 11 months, attending the 1st to the 2nd year of the public school in Marília - SP divided into two groups will participated this study: GI composed by 100 students from 6 years old to 6 years old and 11 months, GII composed by 100 students 7 years old to 7 years old and 11 months. The six tasks of the DIBELS (Naming letters fluency, Phonemic segmentation fluency, Nonword reading fluency, Word reading fluency, Oral reading of text fluency, Retelling fluency) will be apply. Data analysis will be performed by scores on each task of the procedure and the results will be statistically analyzed in order to characterize and to compare the performance of students from the GI and GII in the six tasks of the DIBELS.
