Abstract

Soybean is one of the most important crop in Brazil. The Brazilian production in 2014 probably will reach a record amount of 89.1 millions of tons of harvest grains. Certainly, the success of soybean production in Brazil is due to the massive application of rhizobia, simbionte bacteria capable of biological nitrogen fixation, converting the atmospheric nitrogen to easy assimilating nitrogen compounds to the host. Some researchers have been proved that the soybean-rhizobia interaction should be optimized by the plant-growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRs) co-inoculation. However, studies about the interaction of rhizobia and PGPRs are incipient in Brazil. Thus, the present project aims the monitoring of the interaction between Burkholderia ambifaria RZ2MS16, a rhizobacterium previously described as a soybean growth promoter, and rhizobia strains commercially used on the crop. All strains will be target with fluorescent proteins by transformation. The bacterial interaction will be observed by microscopy of fluorescence as well as by re-isolation of target- strains during the soybean infection. The synergistic effects of this interaction will be also evaluated under green-house condition co-inoculations, being measured the nodules amount as well the improvement of soybean dried weight. The obtained results will certainly corroborate with the better understanding of rhizobia-rhizobacteria interaction as co-agents of soybean growth promoters.
