Abstract

Much has been said about the importance of observing the cultural features in the teaching of foreign languages, in this sense this research proposes a discussion about the culturemas, which are being increasingly visible in the study of phraseological units as a whole. The culturemas can be seen as culturally motivated extralinguistic symbols, According to Pamies Bertrán (2007, 2009) they serve as model for the languages create their figurative expressions. Even today the concept of culturema is little studied in Brazil, being more developed in European countries. In this context, this paper aims to clarify certain issues relating to culturemas and the importance of observation of this item in teaching materials, to this end, we intend to observe the behavior of these culturemas in zoonyms phraseologisms and investigate how they can be processed and entered into the BD-FraZoo, database of phraseologisms related to animals, when attempting to create a web platform for teaching / learning of a foreign language. This study notes some important works for the development of this topic as the Pamies Bertrán (2007, 2008, 2009), Luque Nadal (2009), Jorge (2001), Molina Martínez (2001), among a few others. (AU)
