Abstract

This project propose to study the lithic chipped materials produced by indigenous peoples of prehistoric period found in the areas of Turvo archaeological sites I, II, III, IV, V-A and V-B. The sites were located in Pontes Gestal Town and Cardoso Town, in Rio Turvo region, North of the São Paulo State. Presents itself as objective the study of the chipped lithic industry, relating it to the physical environment of areas of archaeological sites. In this sense the theoretical-methodological bases in an interdisciplinary approach with contributions of geography and archaeology. This work seek to learn experimental techniques in order to broaden knowledge of the northern region of São Paulo State and also operative chains used in the production of phages in study. To the end, has the aim to disseminate the results of this research in academic events and by the community at large.
