Abstract

Introduction : The type of dental ceramic used is directly related to the success of metal free restorations . The zirconia after being milled by CAD / CAM system should be brought to the furnace , causing a contraction that should be compensated at the time of milling . Already Lithium disilicate has no contraction when subjected to crystallization after milling . Objective: This study aims to evaluate the marginal adaptation of two materials processed by the CAD / CAM technology: lithium disilicate and zirconia . Materials and Methods : 10 models from a metal die will be made on which scanning for obtaining virtual model for the processing of zirconia ceramics and Disslicato Lithium by CAD / CAM technique will be performed . Are then obtained the plaster models , which the scanning , the software design of infrastructure and milling to obtain ceramic CAM / CAM ( 10 samples of each material ) will be held . The analysis of marginal discrepancy will be made in the margin 12 points of metal die , and the values will be submitted to the arithmetic mean getting a single average value for each crown. Method of Analysis of Results : A statistically significant difference will be tested and the level of significance will be the conventional value of 5 % . Expected Results : The hypothesis is that the ceramic lithium disilicate having less marginal discrepancy regarding ceramic zirconium oxide , due to the absence of contraction during the sintering process .
