Abstract

The research aims to analyze the productive restructuring of sugarcane agro-hydro-business in the administrative regions of Presidente Prudente and Ribeirão Preto in São Paulo State. We seek to understand, how the sugarcane capital works in territorial dynamics and regional arrangements, as well as, the forms of domination and transformation in labor relations in the production process of sugar cane. We assumed that productive restructuring, in the context of sugarcane agribusiness through outsourcing, of advances in mechanization in planting and harvesting intensified the exploration and degraded, ever more, working conditions, health and lives of workers. Supported in the benefits provided by the State, the sugarcane agro-industrial capital has intensified investments in agricultural mechanization, and from these advances has been created the myth that labor in the production process of sugar cane has changed and improved. But, may be occurring a combination of old and new or exploration forms of labor in the sugarcane agro-hydro-business. (AU)
