Abstract

This project aims to study the conceptualization process about chemical concepts in Organic Chemistry Experimentation in high school students. Based on the principles of the Conceptual Fields Theory intends to access the operational invariants demanded by these students and study how they relate to each other during the transposition process conceptually similar situations. It will be offered a short extracurricular course that focus on chromatography of natural products to students who have coursed in General Chemistry UFABC. In search to solving problems (investigative experimentation) will be offered tasks that use concepts related to the Chemical Representation in Low Order (LOCS) and High Order Cognitive Skills (HOCS). All data collected will be recorded on audiovisual and oral and gestural features transcribed and coded with Transana software.
