Abstract

This research proposes the production of a photographic essay that intent a review of the images created by our society - images that ends up crystalizing what we call "reality". This imagetic construct is observable in the most diverse means, such as cinema, photos shared on social networks or from television or newspaper news, etc. The scope of this research is the construction of the reality by the use of photography. What I intent to do is to deconstruct the meaning of quotidian situations, and it shall be done by the reflection over the production process of the photographic essay - as well as its analysis. This deconstruction will attempt to demonstrate that our quotidian is extraordinary, as well as it shall be clear that its naturalization is what transforms it in something that can be called "normal". An inspiration to this matter is Surrealism - with its intent to question the occidental reason; as well as its attempt to transform in strange something familiar (CLIFFORD, 1998).
