Abstract

Researches related to health promotion have been widely explored in recent years, mainly due to the involvement of chronic diseases in the population, caused by the primary sedentary lifestyle adopted by the majority. Among the most frequent disorders highlights the Metabolic Syndrome (MS). Researches involving exercise are important to clarify the effects of practice on the relationship between health and disease. Among the types of exercise, functional exercise has actually emerged, however studies evaluating its influence on aspects such as autonomic modulation, body composition and cardiorespiratory parameters in patients with MS are unknown. In this context this study aims to analyze and compare the effects of two resistance training programs (conventional exercises vs. exercises with complex moving levers) on autonomic modulation, body composition and cardiorespiratory parameters in patients with MS. For its realization will be assessed 60 subjects of both sexes aged between 40 and 60 who have MS, which will be divided into three groups of 20 subjects each, two training groups and a control. The groups will be subject to their respective periodized training programs for 12 weeks, totaling 30 sessions of training. To analyze the autonomic modulation, indices of heart rate variability will be obtained in the time domain (SDNN and RMSSD), frequency domain (LF, HF, LF / HF), and geometric index (Poincaré plot; triangular interpolation of NN intervals - TINN and triangular index - RRtri).
