Abstract

This project is part of a Ph.D. research whose overall objective is to verify the possibility of teaching some educational aspects, more particularly the olympism, in Physical Education classes through the athletics history, using Information and Communication Technologies. This research has 5 steps and this project aim to develop the 3rd step: develop a course for physical education teachers about the athletics history and the olympism in Physical Education classes. So, the aim of this project is to rescue the athletics history on the Olympic Games of Ancient Greece and find some important contents that could be used in Physical Education classes. For this, in one month under Evangelos Albanidis supervision, we are going to rescue the athletics history in the Olympic Games of Ancient Greece, participate on a Congress and try to visit the museums and places where were held the Ancient Olympic Games. When we finish, we hope to find some important athletics history facts, to organize the course and support the Physical Education teachers in this content. (AU)
