Abstract

The research project "In the Middle: Obliteration. Advanced Studies in Media Philosophy" aims to undertake a systematic inquiry of the concepts of medium and mediality in philosophy. Its starting point is a recent but fruitful academic debate in Germany which outlined the last twenty years a research field called Media Philosophy [Medienphilosophie].This project constitutes the most important stage of my postdoctoral research, called "The Ex-communicated Medium. Media-philosophical Investigations for an Negative Theory of Communication", which main objective is to produce an introductory book about the philosophical concept of medium for the Brazilian Communication Science's community.
