Abstract

The main objective of this project is to investigate the meanings of the costumes and the body in motion as essential components in the proposal of a methodology for design and development of dance costumes. It is important torefer to the study of the history and evolution of dance and Ballet costume to better understand the aesthetic proposals costumes in spectacles of dances today. From this, we go through the history of dressed and in moving body, watching the development of body movements whose expressions extend to clothing dancer. This study is also based on ergonomics and core ology to better understand the needs and possibilities of the dancing body as support dance costume. The investigations include scientific studies of textile technology, ergonomics, core ology, dance, costumes, artistic composition, and scenic composition in relation of these areas to creating costumes and building a methodology that covers the specificities of the dance costume as the scenic clothes movement. Thus, this paper brings contributions to the research field of fashion, costume, textile technology, performing arts and dance.
