Abstract

This research intends to analyze the presence of novels in the newspaper The Times during the nineteenth century, in the period that includes the years of 1825 to 1839, besides offering a reflection about the cultural exchanges between Brazil and United Kingdom by comparing similar data published in Brazilian newspapers.
