Abstract

In Brazil, there are many rare minerals that have not been fully described and characterized. This is what is observed, for example, in pegmatite samples from the Eduardo mine, in the municipality of Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, which has been subject of recent research. It is intended, in this scientific research work, the identification and characterization by optical properties, chemical analysis by scanning electron microscope, and by the X-ray diffraction method, the mineral samples collected in this region.
