Abstract

Lymphoma is a neoplastic disease characterized by clonal proliferation of malignant lymphocytes that originates from bone marrow, thymus, spleen, liver or lymph nodes. However, it can develop in any organs by continuous migration of lymphocytes to different organs in the body. Lymphoma is among the most common malignant tumors in dogs, representing 8.5 to 9% of all tumors in this specie, wherein the multicentric presentation is the most frequent. Recently, gene expression studies are essential to bring new discoveries in cancer research. The RNA-seq technique can identify new genes, including low expression genes. Thus, this study aims to evaluate gene expression profile and identify differentially expressed genes in multicentric large-B-cell lymphoma using the RNA-seq technique. With the results, is expected to select genes that can be used as prognostic and predictive markers presentations of lymphomas in dogs, so identify expressed genes, possible candidates for prognostic and predictive markers.
