Abstract

Starting with commercial chitosans modified to increase the solubility at physiological pH and reduce the molar mass, a conjugate with a loaded and small chain peptide will be obtained. The combination of route is performed via glutathione- chitosan compound and conjugating the peptide via the N-terminal. Additionally another peptide chain and greater hydrophobicity will be used in the conjugation. The products will be characterized by NMR, fluorescence, FTIR , and its interaction with model membranes evaluated in zeta potential experiments.
