Abstract

As a part of the effort to understand the relationship between the capital market and the territory, and seeking to observe the territorial division of labor associated with stock exchanges, we aim to analyze, through this research, the dynamics established by these institutions in the Argentinian territory. So far under the term of a regulatory system which encourages stock exchanges to maintain regional operations - but with the largest part of the market being moved by the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange - Argentinian territory is characterized by an intense concentration of financial equipment in the region of the country's capital. This importance acquired by Buenos Aires stock market is associated with the prominent role played by the city in the financial market of the country, giving it a protagonist role in the international financial market and, at the same time, making it a center of major crises associated with this sector of the economy.
