Abstract

This research has as objective the limnological monitoring of Ilha Grande stream, in Presidente Bernardes-SP in Pontal do Paranapanema and analysis of the influence of types of land use and cover at the water quality. In the first months of the research, the researcher will produce a map of land use and land cover from orthophotos of Emplasa (2011) with ArcGIS software version 10.2. After the elaboration of the map of land usage and cover usage the monitoring will be done in 6 sections, 4 sections in the mainstream, and 2 sections in tributaries. The variables that will be sampled at the time will be dissolved oxygen, pH, electrical conductivity, water temperature, turbidity, and ammonia nitrogen through a parametric sensor Hanna Model HI 9829. In the laboratory will be determined dissolved phosphorus, soluble reactive phosphorus, and total phosphorus according to Mackereth et al. (1978).
