Abstract

The object of this research is the Luz-Jundiaí Touristic Express. This train is provided by the Metropolitan Transportation Secretary of São Paulo, and operated by Paulista Metropolitan Trains Company (CPTM), with path between the Luz and Jundiaí stations. Our goal is to evaluate the Touristic Express to observe the visitor profile and the choice of this tourist service; the historical value provided by the ride; the experience gained during the trip; general information about the trip; the perception of tourists and the general expectation of the tour; and tour services at the station and on the train. And with that parse this tourist train to understand their importance to the cultural and industrial tourism. Analyze the Touristic Express as a type of tourism to be studied, the study contains the bibliographical, documentary and observativa research. To conduct this study we use readings that will be developed will at related topics: Transportation; Transport in tourism; Tourism and railways; Industrial Tourism and Cultural Tourism; Heritage Trains Tourist and Memory. Apart from documentary research and observativa administered by CPTM.
